21321: LEGO Ideas International Space Station Set Review
Back in 2019, the LEGO® Ideas platform, previously known as CUUSOO, celebrated its 19th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a number of past project, which had reached 10,000 supporters but ultimately didn’t make it past the official review, were brought back for a special fan vote. Each project could once again be voted for, with the one with the most votes guaranteed to become an official LEGO Ideas set. One project was...
10272: LEGO Creator Old Trafford Set Review
Throughout their long history, Manchester United Football Club has won numerous trophies and titles, it’s this success which has lead them to have supporters across the world. In fact, they have one of the largest amount of supporters for any sports team and they are one of the only UK teams to rank in the top ten sports brands. This is probably why their stadium has been chosen to be immortalized in LEGO bricks for the LEGO...
71026: LEGO DC Super Heroes Minifigures Mini Review
The latest series of LEGO® Minifigures seems to have been revealed and launched without any fanfare whatsoever. In fact despite their release on January 1st, LEGO have only just decided to promote them on their social media channels. They also took their time arriving in stores, here in the UK they have only just started to be readily available from all the usual places. This could be because they have increased in price or the fact...
31099: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Propeller Plane Set Review
Just like any of the LEGO® Creator 3-in-1 sets I’ve reviewed over the last couple of weeks, the Propeller Plane is a similar type of set to those featured in past years. This 2020 version can be built into a trio of airbourne crafts including the lead model, which is a Propeller Plane, along with alternate builds of a Helicopter with landing pad and a Jet Fighter plane. But can a set which is similar to previous ones be worth...
31102: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Fire Dragon Review
Despite the large amount of rebuildable vehicles and buildings featured in the LEGO® Creator 3-in-1 sets, every so often a creature is thrown into the mix. For the latest selection of sets that creature is a fire breathing dragon, which can be rebuilt into a Saber-toothed Tiger or a Scorpion. How does an organic creation fair against the various cars, planes and shops featured in the new 2020 range? Let’s take a look at all...
LEGO NINJAGO Arcade Pods Review
The 12th season of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu will see the ninja enter the digital realm of an ancient arcade game called Prime Empire. To enter this digi-realm they must pass through Arcade Portals, which have inspired a new range of collectible sets. Since its inception, the LEGO® NINJAGO theme has featured collectible sets. But these new Arcade Pods must be the best yet. Each set includes a new Arcade cabinet, along with two...
41401: Stephanie’s Play Cube Review
LEGO® Friends isn’t a theme which makes up much of my LEGO collection. But every so often there is a set which catches my eye. As 2020 begins we are treated to a number of new play functions and elements, which is something I like to take a closer look at. One of those new elements is the collectible LEGO Friends Play Cube, a series of enclosed mini playsets. These use a new clam shell type box to house a small scene based on...
