Since their introduction, buildable, ‘up-scaled’ LEGO® Minifigures have become a fan favourite range of sets. Last year introduced the first seasonal variety with the Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure, and now he’s joined by his wife, Mrs Claus. This is similar to the minifigure version of Mrs Claus, who was first introduced in the 2024 LEGO City Advent. She has also appeared in the Family Christmas Tree set and last year’s LEGO City Advent Calendar, but uses the face print featured in this year’s new Santa’s Sleigh set. Here’s a closer look at this upcoming new set.

Since buildable minifigures were introduced in 2021, the core build has become the base for future sets. This includes features similar to the standard minifigures. So Mrs. Claus’ head can be rotated, and her arms can be moved. But this is the first ‘up-scaled’ minifigure not to have legs. Her sloped base offers a unique build experience compared to similar sets.
Many of Mrs. Claus’ features are achieved with coloured elements, but two unique pieces are needed to capture the character’s festive appearance fully. These include a 4×6 curved bow plate, which includes print detail. The face decal matches that of the most recent version of the Mrs. Claus minifigure.
The front area of the minifigure includes a 4×4 printed panel. This includes the same print detail as the minifigure. Unfortunately, her black belt detail on this printed panel doesn’t fully reach the edge of the torso. All it needed was print detail on the two slope elements on either side of the printed panel. But it may not be an element which is easily decorated in this way. Other details are achieved with physical elements, so the fur-like trim on her torso and skirt uses various tiles and plates.
Another issue I found with my particular set was a slight but noticeable colour variation with the red elements. A couple of the 6×6 bricks are not the same red as those surrounding them. This may not be the case with all sets.
Many of the Up-Scaled minifigures have included fun details hidden inside them. Mrs. Claus is no different, and as you build the head section, you’ll notice an interesting Easter Egg in the core of it. I’ll leave it as a surprise to discover, should you choose to pick up the set for yourself.
The concept of larger, brick-built minifigures is really fun, and I like that the range keeps expanding. They are fun to build, and their design does an impressive job of matching their smaller counterparts. It’s the perfect partner to last year’s Up-Scaled Santa minifigure, and hopefully it will form part of a squad of season giant minifigures. The Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus minifigure is available now from LEGO stores and online. Please note that the Mrs. Claus minifigure is not included in the set.
