LEGO Star Wars At Celebration 2019

At Star Wars Celebration this year, the LEGO Group web big on its presence there to coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the LEGO® Star Wars theme. Various things took place at the three day event including a Guinness World Record attempt, a product reveal and an unexpected tease of a new LEGO Star Wars videogame. Below is a handy round-up of some of the LEGO Star Wars happenings that took place at Celebration 2019.

LEGO Star Wars Guinness World Record

An army of 36,440 Stormtrooper Minifigures were amassed inside McCormick Place in Chicago at the start of Celebration. The stunt has been given a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of LEGO Stormtrooper Minifigures. Learn more here.

A new Tantive IV starship was revealed at Celebration. In this video, David Hall from SolidBrixStudios talks with LEGO Designer César Carvalhosa Soares about the design process and inspiration behind the creation of the set. See more of the new set here.

LEGO Star Wars Celebration Stand

All the various LEGO Star Wars activities took place in and around the huge LEGO stand at Celebration. Beyond the Brick took a tour of the stand which included a build area, a timeline of various LEGO Star Wars sets and a couple of Big Builds, including a 3D version of the original Star Wars movie poster.
