As Han Solo once said “it’s true, all of it” yes a new LEGO® Star Wars game has been indavently teased by Matthew Wood at Star Wars Celebration. He’s works a Skywalker Sound and is more famously known as the voice of General Grievous, the Battle Droids and R0-GR from The Freemaker Adventures. Whilst listing the many projects he’s working on this year, one of the things he names is a “new LEGO Star Wars game, coming this year”. The game is rumoured to cover the entire ‘Skywalker Saga’ so will cover the events of the original, prequel and Disney trilogies, which additional content based on the many spin-offs such as Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance and ‘Star Wars Story’ films. Originally it was merely a HD remake of the original games, but it seems thing have got a little more ambitious. With LEGO Star Wars: The Videogame being what kicked it all off for TT Games and 2019 being the 20th Anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme, it’s only fitting a new title gets released. I was hoping I had a little more time before this became common knowledge as I’m working on a LEGO Star Wars gaming feature, so best pull my finger out and get it finished, so stay tuned for that shortly. As with all news of this sort, consider it a rumour until confirmed by LEGO or Warner Bros Interactive.
