LEGO Store Build Classes

Calling all parents of 2-5 year olds: Join us for our brand-new, Little Builders Classes!

Did you know that 90% of a child’s brain develops by the age of 5?

Kids learn and experience the world through play, which is why we believe in the transformative value of Learning Through Play. LEGO building opens a world of possibilities for your little one that’s endless, diverse and FUN! Classes are free to take part and are available on a first come, first serve basis, for participating stores please see the list below.

Toddler Class (2-3 Year Olds)

These classes are a great way to get your 2-3 year old started with building. We’ll use LEGO DUPLO bricks, which are twice the size of regular LEGO bricks, making a perfect introductory experience for even the littlest hands. LEGO DUPLO building helps kids develop essential skills such as resilience, confidence and self-expression. Each class is approximately 20 minutes long, and will guide you and your toddler through a fun, hands-on building activity. And we’ll help you learn how to continue with fun, educational play at home!

Classes will run on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 27th September, between 10:30-11:00
  • Tuesday 4th October, between 10:30-11:00
  • Tuesday 11th October, between 10:30-11:00

Visit a participating store on the dates/times above to take part:

  • LEGO Store Birmingham
  • LEGO Store Westfield London
  • LEGO Store Bluewater
  • LEGO Store Southampton
  • LEGO Store MetroCentre

Preschool Class (4-5 Year Olds)

In these classes, we’ll use 4+ LEGO sets to engage in hands-on building activities. 4+ sets are thoughtfully designed to give 4-5 year olds the independence and confidence they need, while reducing frustration with quick-start builds. They’re a great bridge between LEGO DUPLO and classic LEGO sets, providing just the right level of challenge and play. Each class is approximately 20 minutes long, and will guide you and your preschooler through a fun, hands-on building activity. And we’ll help you learn how to continue with fun, educational play at home!

Classes will run on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday 29th September, between 10:30-11:00
  • Thursday 6th October, between 10:30-11:00
  • Thursday 13th October, between 10:30-11:00

A note for parents: Whether you’re already a master LEGO builder, you haven’t picked up bricks since you were a kid, or you’re completely new to building, these classes will make it easy for you to engage with your child through LEGO building. No previous building experience on your part needed! Classes are free to take part and are available on a first come, first serve basis. No purchase is required to participate.
