Hot on the heels of the first look at the new LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising sets, a new trailer for the upcoming animated series has been released. With the merging of realms, it appears only Kai, Lloyd and Nya will be featured in the new series, with a brief clip suggesting Cole may have been laid to rest in the series. Although Cole, Zane and Jay could be merely be lost in another realm (and they do appear in a couple of the new sets). Those old favourites will be joined by two new ninja called Sora and Arin, along with a baby dragon called Riya. Together they must defend the source dragons, save the merged realms from destruction and find lost friends. 2023 appears to be a golden year for LEGO animation, with the new NINJAGO series animated using Epic’s Unreal Engine, LEGO DREAMZzz beginning next week, the new Friends series and a possible big-screen outing for LEGO Spider-Man. NINJAGO: Dragons Rising begins on June 1st.
