LEGO House AFOL To Designer Event Moves Online

Around this time last year, the LEGO® House in Billund was set to host an event in which past AFOLs discuss how they switched their love of LEGO building to becoming a LEGO Designer. Obviously, due to COVID-19, the event was delayed and then cancelled. Well, it’s back just in a different form. Now the event will take place online. On March 26, 2021, you’ll be able to virtually meet three LEGO designers, Marcos Bessa, Milan Reindl and Justin Ramsden, who come from the AFOL Community and will talk about how they became members of the LEGO Design Team at the LEGO Group as well as how they have managed to turn their passion into their day job.

The online event will be hosted by the Norwegian journalist and AFOL, Are Heiseldal, who has facilitated several Brick Talks at LEGO House and AFOL events before. During the event, you’ll get the possibilities to chat directly with Are and the designers and hopefully get all your burning questions answered.

The event is 2 hours from 6-8pm CET (Billund time) and is held in English. There are only 50 slots available and the price is 199 DKK per slot, which is around £22/$31. You can read more about the event and sign up here. Once you booked your tickets for the online event, you will receive your access link from LEGO House shortly before the online event takes place.

  1. So, let me get this right. You’re not physically in the Lego House but they still expect you to pay £22 for the chance to talk over the internet whilst providing your own refreshments. Bargain!
