It wouldn’t be a new LEGO® set reveal without the internet sharing its collective opinions both good and bad. The latest LEGO Ideas set has certainly filled that brief. It’s fair to say the BTS set has divided the LEGO fan community, judging by the witty responses to BricksFanz coverage, many are expecting the set to be a flop. However, these folks may be shocked to learn that both the reveal and the teaser posts put out by the LEGO Group have views in the millions. The teaser alone is nearing 12 million views. To put that in perspective, the reveal of The Lord of the Rings Rivendell set was rather popular yet only managed just over a million views. If that level of engagement translates into sales I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the best-selling LEGO Ideas set ever not to mention one of the most popular LEGO sets. Expect the minifigures to be transformed into keyrings in a few months’ time and who knows, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, would even make popular BrickHeadz.
