LEGO Big Builds: LEGO FRIENDS Central Perk

On Friday I covered the news that Warner Bros. Television had commissioned a life-sized LEGO® recreation of the Central Perk set, for their FRIENDS Fest event in Las Vegas. Now thanks to one of the brick artists, Brando Griffith, who helped create the impressive display, there is a much better look around the big build. The set is a recreation of the famous coffee shop seen in the hit 90s TV show FRIENDS, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. It’s also a giant sized version of the recently released LEGO Ideas set. Featuring over a million LEGO elements the set, took builders Nathan Sawaya and Brandon Griffith over 8 months to complete with over 1800 hours work. All the iconic aspects of the set have been built from LEGO bricks including the famous couch, performance stage (complete with guitar), coffee machine and even the famous sign. Check out this impressive build below and see even more images over on Brandon’s Flickr page.
