The news this past week has been dominated by the official reveal of the LEGO® Ideas Dungeons & Dragons set and interesting LEGO update Fortnite. The DnD set has taken the LEGO community by storm, with opinions being surprisingly positive. The set will be joined by a cool Mimic Chest GWP and an Insiders reward. While Fortnite might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the partnership between the LEGO Group and Epic Games is a bigger deal than you might think. Through LEGO Fortnite, LEGO Styles and LEGO Islands, the LEGO Group has finally cracked its digital play problem. Giving users the ability to create their own LEGO experience in Fortnite will further expand the brand beyond its usual fan base and could see numerous themes and events supported by unique digital LEGO experiences.
