After being sold to Merlin, LEGOLAND® attractions have operated separately from the LEGO Group. In recent years, Merlin Entertainments has been taken over by the LEGO Group’s owner KIRKBI. Despite that, the two brands have still operated differently meaning their retail outlets may offer similar products and services, but LEGOLAND stores haven’t offered the ability to collect Insider points. Following a test last year in the US, LEGO® fans in the UK can now earn LEGO Insiders points on purchases made in selected retail locations around LEGOLAND Windsor. If you visit The LEGO Store, International School Campus Shop, Hotel Shop or the LEGO NINJAGO Store, you can earn points on purchases. I’ve asked if this is part of a wider rollout and if the ability to earn Insiders points will become more widespread across other LEGOLAND locations and will update accordingly.
