Brickish Weekend Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The National Space Centre in Leicester will once again be playing host to their annual LEGO® event – Brickish Weekend. This year the event celebrates its 10th Anniversary, so it’s set to be an extra special event. On March 14th & 15th visitors to the Space Centre can immerse themselves in one of the largest displays of LEGO creations in the UK. Members of the Brickish Association will be on hand to show off their amazing MOCs, budding builders can help create the famous Fairy Bricks mosaic and you’ll also be able to track down some LEGO goodies to continue your LEGO adventures at home. This year also marks the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back so expect a few LEGO Star Wars surprises. Learn more about the event over on the National Space Centre website. You can check out what the event entails, with my show report from last years events. This is a local event for me so we’ll be there and I hope to see you there too.

Imagine one of the largest displays of LEGO ever created in the UK. Now you don’t have to imagine it, as the National Space Centre joins forces with the Brickish Association to create a weekend dedicated to the iconic colourful plastic brick.

Now in its tenth year, the weekend will see the whole building filled with huge LEGO creations, rare kits, planes, trains and automobiles.

  • In ten years of hosting the Brickish Weekend we have displayed over 700 huge brick-built creations thanks to the Brickish Association.
  • In ten years of hosting the Brickish Weekend we anticipate we have displayed over 5 million bricks.
  • In ten years of hosting the Brickish Weekend, we have used over 500 tables to display the amazing exhibitions, that is 7,200ft of exhibition tables!
