Brick City Exhibit Coming To Leicester Next Week

As well as The Brickman Experience reopening in Leicester this weekend, the city will also be home to another LEGO® exhibition from Monday. Brick City has taken up residence at the newly renamed Leicester Museum on New Walk and features work by LEGO artist Warren Elsmore.

Brick City is a celebration of iconic buildings from cities around the world. Take a world tour and discover highlights of cities across all seven continents. You’ll visit lively celebrations from New Zealand to New Orleans, tall skyscrapers from New York to Mecca, and imaginative castles from medieval Japan to modern Las Vegas.

Enjoy discovering new urban highlights as well as some more recognisable icons. Spot surprising common ground between buildings thousands of years and miles apart, such as the Roman Colosseum and the London 2012 Olympic Park. The magnificent centrepiece is London St Pancras Station, measuring two by four metres and built from over 180,000 standard LEGO bricks.

The exhibit was due to open in May, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, it opens this Monday. Due to current restrictions, you’ll need to pre-book your visit and will be required to wear a face-covering if you are able to do so. You can also download and print off a mini model checklist, which will help you discover hidden LEGO minibuilds dotted around the museum. To learn more about the Brick City LEGO exhibition visit the new Leicester Museum and Art Gallery website.

Although you need to pre-book, this event is free to enjoy.
