Earlier this year is was revealed that the LEGO Group and Activision Blizzard have joined forces to create LEGO® products based on the popular Overwatch video game. Then a few weeks ago the LEGO Overwatch microsite appeared, although offered nothing more than the logo. But it seems the first proper details of the partnership will be revealed this week, with Activision set to stage two major events. Firstly with have Gamescom taking place in Germany, where Blizzard will be hosting various events around their games including Overwatch. Now Germany is a major market for LEGO, so it’s possible we could get a tease of the LEGO line-up during the event. This begins August 22nd and run through until August 24th. Then starting the very same day as Gamescom, an Overwatch Fan Festival is being hosted in South Korea, and The Brick Fan has noted LEGO are listed as being in attendance. So either way expect both events to yield the first look at the LEGO Overwatch range. Will it be a collectible Minifigures series? Some BrickHeadz or full blown playsets? Find out this Wednesday.
