LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Summer Sets Review Round-up
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing the newly released or upcoming Summer sets from the LEGO® Creator 3-in-1 range. I’m sure that like others, you’ll have seen the sets and certain ones will have pipped your interest a little more than others. This makes reviewing them all the more fun, as sets I had little interest in before, turn out to be way better than expected. So I’d really...
76190: Iron Man: Iron Monger Mayhem Set Review
With so many LEGO® sets released this week, there’s plenty to satisfy all sorts of interests. One of the most buzz-worthy themes is an off-shoot of the Marvel theme which focuses on The Infinity Saga. I decided to pick up the Iron Monger Mayhem set, which takes the action back to the very beginning of the MCU. I wasn’t planning on reviewing the set but after building it, I changed my mind. So here’s my review of the...
31120: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Castle Review
For my final LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Summer set reviews, it’s time to head bad to medieval times and take a look at the Medieval Castle set. Not only is it the largest of the new sets, but it’s also one first new castles we’ve had to build in quite a while. Recently it was mentioned by a member of the LEGO Design Team that the Creator theme would be the home of sets that hark back to classic themes such as Pirates and...
80106: LEGO Story Of Nian Set Review
Seasonal sets have long been a part of the LEGO® landscape. Most major holidays have been celebrated with a set of some sort. Christmas received the most focus, which led to the long-running and extremely popular Winter Village line. With an ever-increasing focus on the Chinese market, in 2019 sets similar to the Winter Village range were introduced based on traditional Chinese Festivals. Although these have been available for a few...
76191: LEGO Marvel Infinity Gauntlet Review
Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots… Infinity Stones. These stones, it seems, could only be brandished by beings of extraordinary strength – until now. But a device capable of harnessing the power of the Stones doesn’t require the skills of a dwarven king. Instead, it requires the...
31117: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Space Shuttle Adventure Review
The fast-paced world of LEGO® means I don’t get a chance to pour over all the details of newly revealed sets. That was most certainly the case with the next of the Creator 3-in-1 sets I’m about to review. On the surface set 31117: Space Shuttle Adventure is a smaller, less detailed version of the recently released NASA Space Shuttle Discovery set. As I tipped out the box’s content to get building, I actually noticed...
40516: Everyone Is Awesome Set Review
Over the past few weeks, Matthew Ashton, VP of Design at the LEGO Group, has been teasing a new set which he has designed. He’s been sharing images of LEGO® elements on social media and we now know exactly what he’s been up to. That set is the recently revealed Everyone Is Awesome. The set has been created to celebrate Pride Month and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Before getting to the review, I know this set will have a...
