San Diego Comic-Con is taking place right now and Marvel has taken to Hall H to reveal where the MCU is heading next. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe heavily inspiring a number of LEGO products over the last few years, it’s a safe bet the announcements from Comic-Con could suggest possible future LEGO sets and minifigures. The current Phase 4 will conclude with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with sets inspired by the film teased for later this year. After that, nothing has officially announced in terms of future LEGO releases. This is merely covering what has been announced by Marvel at Comic-Con.
Disney+ has been the source of plenty of inspiration for both LEGO Star Wars and Marvel sets. During the Marvel Animation panel, it announced that there would be a second season of What If…?, along with a Marvel’s Zombies spin-off. The early years of Peter Parker will be told in Spider-Man: Freshman Year and the animated 90s adventures of the X-Men will continue in X-Men ’97.
Phase 5 will begin with Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, the third film in the series will feature Kang the Conqueror, M.O.D.O.K. and Scott’s daughter Cassie as Stinger. Next up it’s over to Disney+ for Secret Invasion, a series where not everyone is who they seem and the Skrull have infiltrated all aspects of life on Earth. Back to the big screen with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 this will include Cosmo the Wonder Dog and the Higher Evolutionary. Over to Disney+ and the Hawkeye spin-off series will see the return of Echo, plus Loki Season 2 will arrive soon after.
The Marvels is next up, with Blade also confirmed for 2023. An Ironheart series will be coming to Disney+, along with the newly renamed WandaVision spin-off, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Daredevil is returning in Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. Both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise their roles as the Man with No Fear and The Kingpin. Daredevil will also appear in the Spider-Man animated prequel series and She-Hulk.
Finally, two big movies will round off Phase 5 in 2024, with Captain America: New World Order and the Thunderbolts. Which will certainly be ripe for some decent characters to become minifigures.
Phase 6 will feature two new Avengers films – The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars and the Fantastic Four’s return with everything taking place after Endgame and the Infinity Saga being known as The Multiverse Saga.
None of this is confirmation of any future LEGO products or releases. Although these films and Disney+ series could inspire the LEGO Marvel theme in the future.
