Today is St. David’s Day, a day to celebrate the Welsh Patriot Saint. To mark the occasion a number of limited edition Minifigures were created to represent five other Welsh icons. These limited edition LEGO® Minifigures have been available to purchase for today only, from St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff A minimum donation of £5 was being asked for each Minifigure, with all proceeds going to Welsh charities: Velindre, Pride Cymru, Ty Hafan, Valley’s Kids and Noah’s Ark. The five Minifigures created represented Gareth Bale, Gareth Thomas, Ruth Jones as Nessa from TV show Gavin and Stacey, Sir Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey.
