Time Agent Custom Minifigure Review

The UK is home to some pretty awesome LEGO® customisers, who take various LEGO elements and offer something not found in LEGO sets. One such company is FireStar Toys, which have been creating custom characters for a while now. They recently revealed a couple of characters inspired by the hit Disney+ series Loki. With Luke Wilson’s standout character, Mobius M. Mobius became a fan favourite, unfortunately, it’s a character that has yet to be featured as an official LEGO Minifigure. Thankfully the Time Agent is a great alternative and here’s a closer look at it.

Custom Time Agent

Mobius isn’t a superhero or villain for that matter, so he isn’t kitted out in a fancy outfit or welds an iconic weapon, although his moustache could be considered as such. He’s just a simple bureaucrat at the Time Variance Agency, one who specialises in investigation and analysis of variants who meddle with the sacred timeline. His no-nonsense attitude is reflected in his simple attire – a smart suit. This is the inspiration for the Time Agent, he captures the look of the show’s character really well, right down to the grey hair and moustache.

The custom printing looks great and matches the similar designs used on official LEGO Minifigures. But he wouldn’t be a Time Agent without his TVA tools. These include a custom printed TemPad, which uses a pearl gold 1×2 tile and a TVA Baton, should any variants need pruning. This uses a lightsaber hilt and orange stud, plus what appears to be a cut rod. Whilst I’m certainly not a fan of modifying elements in this way, it does result in a decent take on the weapon.

Although this isn’t an official LEGO Minifigure is does use genuine elements and is a fun companion to the upcoming LEGO Marvel Minifigures series. I purchased this myself and it wasn’t provided for free. However, if you want to add it to your collection use the code FS216W to get 10% off your order. Find the custom Time Agent Minifigure here.
