The LEGO Batman Movie May Be Getting A Sequel

When The LEGO® Movie was released in 2014, it took everyone by surprise. People fell in love with its crazy cast of characters but one of those minifigure stars stood out from the crowd. LEGO Batman only had a small part in the first LEGO outing but the character was so adorned, he got his own movie last year. Voiced by Will Arnett, many consider LEGO Batman to be one of the best versions of DC Comics orphan super hero. Although the movie was well received and made around $175 million at the box office, that was a little short on The LEGO Movie’s £257 million. LEGO Batman will soon be seen on the big screen again as he returns in The LEGO Movie 2. But it seems he’ll be back in his own movie sequel as well. Over on Twitter someone tweeted The LEGO Batman Movie director, Chris McKay, asking if another LEGO Batman Movie was possible and he responded to say they are working on it right now. Beyond The LEGO Movie 2, the only other known LEGO movie from Warner Bros. is the Billion Brick Race, which may never see the light of day, after going through a number of writers and directors. So it seems The LEGO Batman Movie 2 will be swinging into cinemas in the next few years.
