In a move that will surprise no one, the LEGO® Hidden Side app will be discontinued in early 2023. Loading up the recently updated app shows a notice of its closure. The theme was retired in early 2021 after a mixture response by ‘fans’. The excellent range of sets could be brought to life with a companion app, which overlayed AR components to the physical LEGO builds. Of course, you don’t need the app to build the sets. The reason the app has stuck around for so long is due to EU regulations, it’s the same reason the VIDIYO app will be sticking around for a while, despite the theme being retired.
