Official LEGO Star Wars Plush Toys Come To The UK

Early last year reported on the news that many of the LEGO® Plush Toys were readily available from Amazon UK as well as LEGOLAND stores. Over in the US, the range was expanded to include characters from the Star Wars universe, but until now they haven’t been available in the UK. But I can exclusively reveal that the official LEGO Star Wars plush toys are now available in the UK. The company behind these officially branded soft toys have very kindly sent me a trio of characters to take a look at so here’s a closer look at the LEGO Star Wars Plush Toy Collection.

The Minifigure has appeared in numerous forms and admittedly a small hard plastic figure doesn’t seem like the best inspiration for a soft toy. The unique traits of the Minifigure are featured on its plush counterpart, these include the claw-like hands and cubic legs. Both of these sections are reinforced with plastic backing, which provides support but doesn’t distract too much from the cuddly nature expected from a plush toy.

The range includes a number of iconic characters from the Star Wars universe, of which their Minifigure forms act has inspiration. Now their appearance isn’t exactly 1:1 to the Minifigure but it’s close enough and especially with Chewbacca, a little better. Who wouldn’t want a hairy Wookie oversized Minifigure to snuggle up with?

As well as the trio of characters featured here, the range also includes Stormtroopers, Rey and Grogu aka The Child. There were also some festive variants but it remains to be seen if they will make a UK appearance this Christmas. The LEGO Star Wars Plush Toys are readily available now from Merlin-operated LEGO stores found at LEGOLAND attractions across the UK and Europe. They will soon start appearing in House of Fraser stores and online. You’ll soon be able to buy them directly from the Manhattan Toy Company via Amazon.
