Back in 2016, the LEGO Group announced plans for a brand new global HQ in Billund. The ambitious new building would compliment the company’s growth, as well as offering enhanced work and play experiences for LEGO® employees. The new headquarters are currently being built close to the current head office of the LEGO Group and LEGO Designer Sam Johnson has shared a image of the main building on Twitter. As you can see the building contains fun architectural details in keeping with the playful nature of the LEGO brand. The new campus-style headquarters will also include environmentally friendly aspects such as low power consumption, green areas both in courtyards within the building and as part of a public park surrounding the campus. the first employees are expected to move into the building next year, with work on the campus due to be complete in 2021.

When we were there in June the big yellow structure on the roof was visible from almost everywhere in Billund.
And, an even better view was to be had at the top of The LegoTop ride in nearby Legoland.
The plans, available to view on the Groups website are incredibly ambitious. And, just like Lego House, certain areas willl be opened up to the local population to utilise!
