Late last year it was announced that the LEGO Group and Universal Music are partnering for a range of products to “encourage and inspire the next generation of musicians, creatives and fans”. The first assumption was that Universal Music’s vast catalogue of artists would be translated into LEGO® sets and Minifigures. But this doesn’t appear to be the case, well at least not with the new theme dubbed VIDIYO. Yesterday, the first image of one of the Minifigures which will feature in the range, appeared via LEGO.com and now I’ve stumbled upon a list, also from LEGO.com, which appears to list a range of sets dubbed ‘Harlem’. This appears to be the code for VIDIYO, with several products coming on March 1st. These include a Minifigure collection and six additional sets. The sets appear to be priced around £20. The Llama featured in image yesterday matches with one of the listed sets, which you can check out below. Judging by the names, these will all be original creations, not linked to any particular music genre or artists. Obviously, this is considered a rumour until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.
- Minifigure Wave 1 (listed as MF Wave 1)
- Mermaid
- Pirate
- Alien
