LEGO MASTERS Grand Final This Evening

After three weeks and three episodes, which has seen budding master builders come and go, the grand final of LEGO® MASTERS is here. The remaining teams have to give it there all be crowned LEGO MASTERS 2017 and get their masterpieces on display in the LEGO House in Billund. LEGO MASTERS is another LEGO-inspired project which has taken the UK by storm. Hopefully its success will lead to future series and the format being taken to other countries.

LEGO MASTERS

The series is hosted by DJ and TV presenter Melvin Odoom. Each programme tests a wide array of disciplines from the playful to the technical to the unexpected and judging is led by Matthew Ashton, Vice President of Design for the LEGO Group. Joining Matthew in each round will be an array of expert judges from the fields of engineering, art and design and guest celebrity LEGO fans including Richard Osman, Bill Bailey and Dara O’Briain. In each programme, the teams who impress the most will progress to the next round until the finale, where just one pair will be crowned winners.

LEGO MASTERS Episode 4 – The Final

It’s the last stage of the contest. Which team will be crowned LEGO Masters 2017? First, the remaining teams face their toughest quick-fire build of the competition and their toughest critics – children. The teams then have just three hours to bring the children’s inventive stories to life as brick displays – including a robot with an ostrich head, an alien from the planet Zorg, and a monster who devours a chocolate lake. Next, for the Grand Final, the remaining two teams have two weeks and half a million bricks to make their masterpiece. One team makes a human sculpture while the other create a mythical world. Both builds are revealed to the public at London’s Design Museum; where they are judged by The LEGO Group’s Matthew Ashton and celebrity guest judge comedian Dara Ó Briain.
