LEGO House Wins A Danish Design Award

LEGO® House has won a Danish Design Award in the Feel Good category.  The unique LEGO experience, which is located in the heart of the LEGO Group’s hometown of Billund, was designed by Danish architectures Bjarke Ingels Group and opened last year. Since then visitors to the LEGO House have experienced a unique journey into the history of the LEGO brand, through impressive Big Builds, historic collections, fan builds and a number of interesting events. The Danish Design awards celebrate some of Denmark’s best buildings and structures.

Conceived as a village for play and learning, LEGO House is a cultural centre that embraces both architecture and urban space and welcomes the city of Billund’s visitors as much as its local citizens.

The jury says
The heart of the city of Billund’s new 12,000-square-metre building LEGO House is the inspiring ‘experience zones’ featuring play and exhibition areas. The concept invites us into a unique integration of play and learning. Design with an intuitive approach that successfully conveys the philosophy driving the company and the brand – and a colourful celebration of the Nordic tradition for cooperation, innovation and lifelong learning.

The LEGO House is open to all and you can book tickets to this unique LEGO experience via the LEGO House website.
