From tomorrow, you’ll be able to get your hands on the new LEGO® Harry Potter Hogwarts Moment Books. The buildable books can be opened to reveal one of four different Hogwarts classes. These include Transfiguration, Potions, Herbology and Charms Classes. As well as offer a unique LEGO Harry Potter build experience, each set includes a trio of Minifigures. One teacher and two students. Many of these offer unique takes on certain characters. So ahead of the official release tomorrow here’s a look at some of those Minifigures and a little comparison between characters from the LEGO Harry Potter Minifigures series.
Professor Flitwick
Professor Flitwick has made a couple of appearances in some of the modern-day Harry Potter sets. Most notably in last years advent calendar and the first series of Harry Potter Minifigures, however, his appearance here is very different. Previous versions have shown him in this younger-looking form, the Minifigure featured in the Charms Class set looks very different and is based on his original appearance in the first couple of Harry Potter films.
Cho Chang
Cho Chang has only appeared in a couple of sets, most recently being this year’s advent calendar. The versions included in the Charms Class set is her younger self, with short legs compared to the mid legs used on the CMF version and she also lacks the awkward material skirt.
Cedric Diggory
Cedric has had the honour of appearing in a few sets, and in each of those sets, he has a different look. The version included with the Herbology Class set continues that trend, although it’s the first to show him in a younger form, with mid legs. He’s wearing the Herbology Class overall, which is a first for the character in LEGO form.
Neville Longbottom
What’s unique about this Minifigure is that the same version has appeared in the first series of LEGO Harry Potter Minifigures. Despite that, it looks very different, the mid-size legs are replaced with short ones, they also switch from black to tan. The face is similar but the hair is switched from wearing the earmuffs to having them around his neck.
Professor Sprout
Professor Sprout made her first appearance in the modern-day LEGO Harry Potter sets in the second series of Minifigures. This version introduced a unique hair element. The Minifigure included in the CMFs featured Sprout in a flowing overcoat with a skirt element in place of legs. The Minifigure included in the Hogwarts Moment set switches the skirt for legs and slightly tweaks the torso design.
