The LEGO Group has appointed Andre’ Doxey, former Creative Director and Senior Vice President at Adidas as Head of Design
Billund, December 13, 2023: The LEGO Group today announced the appointment of Andre’ Doxey as SVP & Head of Design. The strategic addition to the team underscores the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and setting new benchmarks in its products and play experiences.
Andre joins the LEGO Group with an impressive portfolio of experience across companies including Adidas, Nike and industrial design at Newell Rubbermaid.
Andre will be based at the LEGO Group’s headquarters in Billund, Denmark and report to Julia Goldin, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at the LEGO Group.

The LEGO Design organization is anchored in The LEGO Group Headquarters in Billund, Denmark. It includes close to 600 employees from 55 nationalities and Andre’s primary task will be to lead this group of talented and diverse individuals to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through great innovation and awesome products.

I thought that the wonderful Matthew Ashton was Head of Design? Has this new chap been brought in above him?
Matthew is an incredibly talented LEGO designer who has a genuine connection to the LEGO community. He has over 23 years experience at the Group.
Andre’ has an impressive portfolio but doesn’t seem to have any experience within the toy industry. I wonder, as with the recent appointment of Travis Blue, LEGO are looking to bring in talent with knowledge that TLG lack? A diverse workforce can only be a good thing!
