LEGO Donates $4m To Educate Racial Equality

The world is a scary place at the moment and especially for many people in the US. In particular for those in the black community, many people and companies have come out to show their support for those currently suffering immense pain at what has occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota towards the end of last month. In the last few hours, the LEGO Group has put out a simple statement on social media in which they show their support and more importantly, have also donated $4 million to organizations which support black children and educating all children about racial equality. For younger people, things they are seeing happen around them is extremely scary and no amount of LEGO can distract from that, but hopefully, this small gesture can help make the future a kinder place for all. On a side note, you may have seen ‘news’ that LEGO has pulled a number of LEGO City sets from sale. This is incorrect, they have merely asked for them not to be advertised and are still available to buy.

We stand with the black community against racism and inequality. There is much to do. We will donate $4 million to organizations dedicated to supporting black children and educating all children about racial equality.
