Back during Toy Fair season it was revealed that there was a new animated series in the works based on the LEGO® City theme. That series is called LEGO City Adventures and will air on Nickelodeon next month. This new animated series will also link up with upcoming LEGO City sets, which will feature physical version of the character from the show. Check out the first trailer below, which you’ll see uses a new animation style compared to other LEGO TV shows. Interestingly the LEGO Group has chosen to partner with Nick, instead of their usual partner of Cartoon Network.
LEGO City Adventures explores the intertwining paths of the city’s everyday heroes as they work together to stop a mysterious master criminal who begins to wreak havoc on their town. In the premiere episode “Cubs and Robbers,” a movie promotion stunt goes wrong, unleashing a humongous ‘Cubby the Cop’ balloon on the city. Then, in “Billy the Bug,” Fire Chief McCloud accidentally buys a malfunctioning Twirly Hat for her nephew.
