Shortly after the LEGO® Creator Expert theme was rebranded as LEGO® Icons, several sub-themes were created to group various sets. These ‘collection’ subthemes have included the Modular Buildings Collection, the Winter Village Collection and the Vehicles Collection. But the most popular of the sub-themes has been the Botanical Collection. So popular in fact, it’s now being positioned as a theme not just an extension of the LEGO Icons sets. Under Themes on LEGO.com, you’ll now find the ‘new’ Botanical Collection theme. Nothing has changed regarding packaging or sets, but it’s interesting to see how popular the impressive-looking sets have become. The Botanical Collection sets have been a great success story for the LEGO Group, connecting with people beyond just the usual LEGO fanbase.
