Is This The End Of The LEGO Polybag?

In 2024, it could be time to say goodbye to the LEGO® polybag. A German retailer has published images of a new promotional miniset inspired by Disney’s Wish. The images of the set’s packaging look very different from previous sets and it now features recycling symbols. So it would seem that 2024 ‘polybags’ will actually be ‘paperbags’ not as catchy but certainly better for the environment. It can only be assumed the paper packaging will be similar to what is now used for the cover-mounted freebies found on the LEGO Magazines. Technically, the polybag/paperbag minisets are dubbed recruitment bags as they are tasters for larger sets of themes.

  1. I’m sorry to burst the environmental bubble, But “05PP” is Polypropylene and not paper!

It’s recyclable but not as easy to do so as paper!
