Although first revealed by a French retailer last week, the new LEGO® Technic Liebherr Crawler Crane set has officially been revealed today. The huge new set might now have the greatest piece count for a Technic model but it does have one of the biggest price points. The 2883-piece set has an RRP of £579.99/$699.99/679.99€. The set is based on the real-world Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 construction vehicle. The Technic version replicates some of its functions with 2 smart hubs and 6 large motors which power the articulated functions through the Control+ system. The set will be available from August 1st and if you’ve recently won the lottery, sold a kidney or taken a family heirloom onto the Antiques Roadshow, you can pre-order the set right now.
