Displaying The 10th Anniversary LEGO NINJAGO Minifigures

I’m a sucker for collectibles, something which is deadly if you’re also a LEGO® fan. With 2021 marking the 10th Anniversary of the LEGO NINJAGO, a number of the NINJAGO Legacy sets include special collectible golden versions of each of the main characters. Now I have all 7 characters I thought they would look rather cool if I built a custom display stand for them. So as I watched The LEGO Movie 2, I grabbed some bricks and got building. I don’t often get time to build a MOC so it was rather fun to delve into a bucket of bricks and see what I could create. I did think I would get hold of some golden elements but decided the Minifigures would look better against a more colourful background.

Each of the Golden Minifigures comes with its own display stand, which features a printed 2×2 round tile, featuring the NINJAGO 10th Anniversary logo. I decided to incorporate them into the stand. I’m pleased with the result and it’s a nice way to display them in one place.

The Golden Minifigures are an odd mix of standard yellow faces and partly coloured costumes. Apart from Master Wu who is completely gold. At first, I thought they should have been entirely gold, similar to the LEGO Harry Potter characters but I actually prefer the splashes of colour as they are so intricately tied to the elemental power of each character. I also like how each character has a costume or hood tied to different eras of the NINJAGO theme. One thing which would have been cool is if some of the older styles of ninja outfits were used as well.

One of each of the seven golden Minifigures can be found across seven different LEGO NINJAGO Legacy sets. Here’s where you’ll find them and Golden Master Wu is included in the 71741: NINJAGO City Gardens expansion.
