Changes Coming To LEGO VIP Program

The LEGO® VIP program has been running for sometime now, offering points for all purchases made in LEGO Brand Stores and online via shop.LEGO.com. Those points can then be used against future purchases. Being a VIP member also allows some other bonuses such as early access to sets and special freebies. Well it seems changes are a coming, firstly as already reported you’ll have access to a digital version of your VIP card. This can be accessed from a smart device and still scanned in stores, it’s currently being trailed and can be stored in G Pay or Apple Pay digital wallets. Functions will be expanded to allow you to see your balance and other information in a new Rewards Centre. Physical cards will still be available for those who want them. The new Rewards Centre will offer new ways to earn and spend points as well, so expect things like the old Nintendo Stars programs, where answering surveys earn points and possibly access to special items to ‘spend’ your points on. These changes will be detailed in the coming weeks. All current points remain unchanged and can still be used to get against purchases. If you aren’t yet a VIP you can learn more about the current program here.

We’re making things better
In the coming months, we’ll be launching an online rewards centre that will introduce some new ways to earn and spend VIP points.

To support our Planet Promise, we’ll also be going digital with VIP cards. Physical cards will be available for anyone who still wants one.

When it’s all happening
We’re working hard on the updates and you’ll see the first changes come into effect in two months from now.

Your points will still be available
All your existing VIP points will still be available and worth the exact same value. All your points will be valid for at least 18 months. We’ll reset the clock on all your points every time you earn or spend any points, so you can use them for longer. Yay!

You’ll still be able to use your points to get discounts at LEGO Stores and on shop.LEGO.com. You’ll also be able to manage your points through the online rewards centre (you’ll need internet to access it).
