This years marks the 20th anniversary of LEGO® MINDSTORMS, a product with changed the LEGO Group forever. When it was originally released 20 years ago, fans instantly took to this unique new LEGO set, which blended bricks with technology. So much so that Mindstormers ‘hacked’ into the system to create even more functions. However this didn’t really please LEGO. At first they took a dim view of people dabbling with something they had created. But this soon changed and LEGO embraced the community, even asking some of those who had ‘messed’ around with the MINDSTORMS code, to help them create new products. Now LEGO MINDSTORMS continues to be used in wonderful and creative ways. Powering impressive LEGO creations, with all sorts of fun interactive functions.
