LEGO® Australia has revealed their charming new Christmas TV ad, which champions the message to Build It Together this Christmas. The stop-motion as was created by media company CHE Proximity and follows LEGO Santa has he is flung far away from home until he is rescued by an unexpected friend. The brick film took director, Kyra Bartley, over 100 hours to animate and was shot over nine days using 12,000 LEGO pieces and featuring 13 different characters, including one pooping reindeer.
“Bringing this LEGO Christmas story to life in stop motion was such a dream brief. I’m sure everyone has nostalgic memories of building magical LEGO worlds as a kid, so doing that inner child’s sense of imagination justice was really a driving force for me,” she told AdNews. The ad is a little different to the UK Christmas ad, which sees kids shaking up their imagination.
