It’s time for another showcase of some of the cool and interesting projects currently vying for votes on LEGO® Ideas. The platform continues to be a source of some impressive build skills and has given us an equally impressive selection of sets, in recent months those have included The Jazz Quartet, Van Gogh’s The Starry Night, Motorized Lighthouse and also very soon The Office. So it’s once again time to showcase some of my favourite LEGO Ideas projects which deserve to be highlighted. If you like what you see, follow the links and get voting. If a project reaches the magic number of 10,000 votes it could become a brand new LEGO set. There are also various stages of vote thresholds, which activates expended time for when projects can remain active on LEGO Ideas. Giving them a better chance of getting to 10k. So let’s take a look at some of my favourite LEGO Ideas projects at the moment. There’s an impressive mix of creations on show from iconic movies and TV to unusual builds.
Community – Support Here
We’ve had a number of LEGO Ideas sets based on iconic TV shows, so one more wouldn’t hurt, especially as it’s the most iconic of TV shows. Community has a cult following and is one of the greatest TV shows in my opinion. It indirectly led to epic things such as Rick & Morty, Breaking Bad and the MCU. This amazing project showcases the wackiness of the show. If you watched Community, then get voting. If you haven’t go watch it and then vote. #SixSeasons&ALEGOSet
The Immortal Captain Redbeard’s Great Galactic Group – Support Here
This may not be a big build but it’s so much fun. It reminds me of the golden years of LEGO in/out themes, those special waves of sets based on unique and original concepts. Plus it takes an iconic LEGO character and drops them into a different environment. It could have easily been seen blasting around the screen in The LEGO Movie.
Disney Pixar’s Lux Jr – Support Here
Pixar has created many iconic moments, and every single of one them has been preceded by a plucky little lamp known as Luxo Jr. This unique project perfectly captures the inquisitive light. I especially like how the little rubber ball has been crafted. It would make a great little display piece.
The Iron Giant – Support Here
The Iron Giant has appeared on LEGO Ideas more than once and hit the magic 10,000 but that is always where the journey ended. The film is a true classic and holds up well even now among the flashy CGI features. The characters gained a second wind recently thanks to an appearance in Ready Player One and WB Games’ Multiversus. The character of the Iron Giant translates nicely into a LEGO build, hopefully, this time around the LEGO Ideas Review Board may think the same.
Queen Elizabeth II – Support Here
The loss of The Queen shocked the world. She was a constant in so many people’s lives and someone who you’d think would be there forever. This fun little diorama captures a moment of the late Queen at work in an ornate-looking study. Which is what drew me to this project. You could remove the Queen minifigure from the scene and still tell what it represented.
