Last year, the LEGO Group made the surprise announcement of a partnership with toy making rivals, Hasbro, for a Transformers LEGO® set. The result was a transforming version of Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, released under the LEGO Icons brand. Now Optimus has appeared on the LEGO social media channels, where he’s ‘calling all Autobots’ and pondering ‘who will answer the call’. This suggests a LEGO Transformers announcement is due very soon. There’s been plenty of speculation regarding another LEGO Icons Transformers set, so expect an official announcement very soon. Until then the LEGO Icons Transformers Optimus Prime set is available now.
