Today, the LEGO Group have revealed its new initiative, ‘Unstoppable FC’ with UK football stars, Rachel Daly, Lauren Hemp, Sam Kerr and Beth Mead, to help get more young girls into playing football and realise their potential when they play in spaces with no limits. The new partnership is designed to teach girls resilience skills with LEGO play and football through a series of interactive workshops with top Women’s Super League teams; Arsenal WFC, Aston Villa WFC and Chelsea FC Women, as well as online content, which will showcase the sportswomen’s own stories of resilience and perseverance. Fans of both the LEGO Group and the football stars can expect these to be rolled out later this year

Lauren Hemp, Unstoppable FC Ambassador, says: “To get to where I am in my career today, I’ve definitely had to learn the art of resilience. It’s all about making sure you’ve got the confidence and self-belief to get back up again when you suffer knocks, and coming out the stronger for it. I’m thrilled to be partnering with the LEGO Group to help empower young girls through play to be whoever they want to be.”
Isabel Graham, Head of Marketing at the LEGO Group, says: “We know that girls are an unstoppable force when they are given the freedom to express themselves fully and play without limits. This is why we’re committed to helping break down barriers to play and are excited to launch ‘Unstoppable FC’ in partnership with inspirational stars of women’s football.”
More information on how involved in Unstoppable FC will be shared later this year on the LEGO Group channels.
