Starting today, the LEGO Group will be running a product pilot in the UK to gain a deeper understanding of what LEGO® fans want from their portfolio. The pilot will see a small number of UK retailers including Smyths Toys, Tesco and The Hut Group, offering variations of some existing LEGO sets. The aim of the pilot is to learn more about the colours and sizes of sets that fans of all ages want to see more of as well as seeing where and how people prefer to shop. Here’s a statement about the pilot:
The LEGO Group is running a pilot with a small number of products to gain a deeper understanding of what our fans want from our portfolio and where they prefer to shop for new or unique products.
The pilot includes variations of some of our existing products, so we can find out more about the colors and sizes of sets that fans of all ages want to see more of in our portfolio.
Five sets will be available from retail partners as well as directly from LEGO retail channels exclusively in the UK throughout the pilot. These are NOT regional exclusives, they are part of a pilot scheme, but there are currently no plans to make them available beyond the UK and Ireland. It’s also a single production run so once stock is gone, further sets will not be restocked. Learn where you can buy them here.
