If you watched LEGO MASTERS on Channel 4 this week you may have spotted a brief appearance of The LEGO House. But what is The LEGO House we here you say? No it’s not a hit song from cheeky songster Ed Sheeran, it’s an all new unique attraction, which will be the ultimate destination for LEGO fans. Located in Billund, Denmark, the LEGO House is the brainchild of Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, former president of the LEGO Group and grandson of the founder of LEGO. Kjeld envisioned an area in the home town of LEGO, which was incorporates the long history of the LEGO brand and how the brick has inspired play for almost 60 years.
The LEGO House has been designed to look like a huge stack of 2×4 LEGO bricks, the most iconic of the LEGO elements. Inside, the entire history of LEGO has been lovingly displayed across old sets, photos and uniquely created big builds. Even the restaurants inspire creativity, with diners tasked with building their food orders, scanning them for a team of Minifigure chefs to cook, before your food is served up by two LEGO robots.
The LEGO House features a number of unique zones each offering a variety of fun and interactive activities to enjoy. With the centrepiece of the LEGO House being the Masterpiece Gallery, home to a trio of brick-built dinosaurs and a number of inspiring builds from builders and LEGO fans from across the globe. Within the centre of the LEGO House, is a huge LEGO tree, which represents the LEGO Groups carpentry roots and how LEGO helps to grow creativity in kids and adults alike. The branches of tree feature fun scenes representing a number of key LEGO themes.
Even if you don’t buy a ticket to experience these unique zones, you can still enjoy various parts of the LEGO House, including the cafe, courtyard and of course a LEGO store, filled with the latest LEGO sets and a few unique items like the exclusive LEGO House Architecture set.
