During a brief Comic-Con panel yesterday, a few more details emerged about The LEGO® Movie sequel, The Second Part. Set five years after the events of the original movie, Bricksburg has be laid to waste after the great with with the DUPLO invaders. Now known as Apocalypseburg, much of the original cast have begun battle-hardened versions of themselves, well all apart from Emmet. Voiced by Chris Pratt, Emmet remains upbeat even in the most terrible of times. But Emmet isn’t the only character to by voiced by Pratt, this time around. As Emmet heads off an a solo mission to rescue Lucy, he meets a familiar sounding new character called Rex Dangervest, a galaxy-saving, raptor wrangler, cowboy archeologist. Basically a combination of Chris Pratts other characters Star-lord and Owen, who have both been given the LEGO treatment in various sets. Batman returns and brings with him a number of DC buddies including Harley Quinn and Aquaman, voiced by Jason Momoa. Another new character was also shown off in the form of shape-shifting Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, voice by Tiffany Haddish. Hopefully Warner Bros. Pictures will release the Comic-Con footage at some point online as they have with many of their new trailers.
