One of the smallest of the new LEGO® Friends set expands the culinary delights offered to Heartlake City. The Pancake Shop is a kiosk-like food stand that offers fluffy pancake treats and all the equipment needed to make them. It’s less a Pancake Shop and more of a Pancake Stand, but it still offers a few fun details. Here’s a look at the LEGO Friends Pancake Shop set.

The set features a small kiosk stand along with a couple of smaller builds, which add extra detail to the set. Being a small set, the build is fairly simple and doesn’t take long to construct. Despite this, it has some fun little details. I particularly like the mixer, which is built on a separate plate that clips to the area that features the pancake stand. Along with the stand, there’s a seating area and a menu board but the highlight is another ace brick-built sign, which is a small stack of tasty pancakes sitting atop the stand’s roof.
There are two characters featured in the set and although they are unique to this set, every element used to create both mini-dolls has been used in a few other sets. Wheelchair user, Luna makes a return from the Skate Park set, which featured in the first wave of new Friends sets. Main character Paisley joined Luna, I assume she’s working at the Pancake Shop, well that’s what the box seems to suggest.
Overall
It’s a neat little set and one with a pocket-money-friendly price point. Despite the small size, the set has a lot of detail and a nice mix of elements to create them. Although there have been a few different food-related sets featured in the LEGO Friends theme, this at least offers something different.
