Statement Regarding Cracked Minifigures

Recently, quality issues have arisen that have affected both the Patrick Star and Gingy LEGO® minifigures. Both characters use unique heads in place of regular ones, and it’s those unique heads causing problems by cracking once placed on the torso of the minifigure. The design flaw has been identified and will be fixed with future production runs, according to a statement issued to New Elementary from the LEGO Quality team. Anyone with an affected minifigure will be able to request replacements in the future.

LEGO Quality Team Statement:

We are aware of a quality issue affecting some LEGO minifigure heads. We know our fans expect the highest quality standards from us and we’re really sorry for the disappointment this has caused.

Our Quality team has identified the cause and we are currently producing replacements which affected fans will be able to request free of charge by contacting LEGO Customer Service.
