Another collection of unique LEGO® Minifigures has started to appear in stores. These now include a fun selection of unique elements and themed characters. These characters use a recoloured ‘chick’ hood first seen in the LEGO City Stuntz sets. A recoloured ‘flower’ hood previously used for a series 18 CMF, and the mushroom cap, first seen in series 25 CMFs. Often referred to as BAMs, the latest Build a Minifigure offerings include a trio of Easter/Spring-themed characters. Here’s a closer look at the three new minifigures, now starting to appear in LEGO Stores.
Mushroom Girl
This character is almost identical to the Mushroom Sprite character featured in the Series 25 LEGO Minifigures. The mushroom cap is the same, and the outfit is similar, although it lacks the dual-moulded legs and skirt piece. It switches out the butterfly accessory for a small blue bird companion.
Flower Fan
Like many BAM characters, their appeal is the use of recoloured elements. Here, the flower hood, which was first used for the Flowerpot Girl from Series 18 LEGO Minifigures, returns in a new orange colour. This is paired with a unique torso and skirt, plus a green watering can.
Spring Chick
One of the first animal-suited minifigures was a chicken; many years later, this was joined by a chick suit worn by a stunt rider from the LEGO City Stuntz sets. The version of the chick-themed headwear used here is a lighter yellow than the original.
A big thanks once again to Robin for grabbing these for me. With no LEGO stores close to the East Midlands, without Robin’s help, I’d never be able to get hold of these unique characters. The Spring Build a Minifigure characters can also be picked up in stores now.
