In 2022, Skybound joined forces with the LEGO Group and LEGO® Books publisher, Ameet, for a prequel NINJAGO comic book series. LEGO NINJAGO: Garmadon told the stories of the Lord of Destruction’s early days. This was followed up by a second comic book series called LEGO NINJAGO: Shatterspin. This continued to tell the untold story of NINJAGO. The partnership with Skybound is set to continue in 2026 with a NINJAGO graphic novel called LEGO NINJAGO: Strike of the Serpentine. This will continue to expand the story of the Spinjitzu brothers. The NINJAGO graphic novel will be published din early 2026.

Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with global children’s book publisher AMEET, announced the graphic novel release of LEGO® NINJAGO®: STRIKE OF THE SERPENTINE. The new graphic novel from rising stars Cameron Chittock (Mapmakers, TMNT x Stranger Things) and Will Morris (Gospel) will be available everywhere books are sold in February 2026.
New and longtime fans of the LEGO NINJAGO saga can expect to uncover the secret history of the fan-favorite Spinjitzu brothers with familiar faces and shocking first appearances in this new collaboration between the LEGO Group and Skybound.
