Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum global superstar Olivia Rodrigo surprised 100 fans at an intimate event inside Licorice Pizza Records, sharing stories and chatting with fans about her new LEGO® Editions collection before dropping a second surprise
The event marked the beginning of a worldwide LEGO® Editions x Olivia Rodrigo Vinyl Hunt, where 333 limited-edition brick-built LEGO Vinyls are being hidden across record stores throughout the world for Livies to find.
Featuring a lifesize LEGO® recreation of Olivia’s iconic GUTS World Tour Concert Moon, the one-day takeover of the historic LA music landmark was created using more than 110,000 LEGO® bricks by a team of designers, engineers, model builders and technicians
Olivia recreated one of her most viral GUTS World Tour moments atop a 2.42m (h) x 2.50m (w) brick-built Concert Moon, constructed from 77,000 LEGO® bricks, as she answered fan questions in an intimate ‘moonside’ chat

BILLUND, DENMARK, 27 JULY 2026: Today, the LEGO Group and Olivia Rodrigo surprised fans with an intimate one-day event at one of Los Angeles’ most iconic record stores, Licorice Pizza, transforming the historic music landmark into an impressive LEGO® build to kick off an exciting worldwide fan challenge in celebration of the new LEGO® Editions Olivia Rodrigo collection.
The 23-year-old Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter made an unannounced appearance, delighting Livies as she chatted alongside fans and shared stories behind the recent partnership.
The Studio City-based record store which is a pilgrimage site for vinyl collectors was reimagined in LEGO brick form. Its instantly recognisable frontage had a colourful LEGO makeover, while the store invited fans to step into Olivia’s creative universe, filled with life-sized installations including a 2.42m (h) x 2.50m (w) brick-built recreation of Olivia’s viral floating Concert Moon, constructed from 77,000 LEGO bricks.
During the event, Olivia answered fan questions in an exclusive ‘moonside’ chat. The intimate celebration brought together 100 lucky Livies, many of whom had travelled from across the United States, Canada and the UK to attend the experience.
Across the store, more than 110,000 LEGO bricks were used to transform the venue, following over 500 hours of model building and assembly by a team of designers, engineers, model builders and technicians.
But the surprises didn’t stop there. Olivia set a global treasure hunt in motion by inviting fans to discover one of just 333 limited-edition brick-built LEGO® vinyl records hidden in record stores around the world.
Over the coming weeks, Livies will have the opportunity to follow clues, uncover secret locations and be among the lucky few to discover one of the 333 super exclusive limited-edition collectible vinyls.
Olivia Rodrigo said: “Getting to watch everyone explore the LEGO® Editions sets today and discover their favourite details was amazing. We wanted to create something that felt different and something my fans could be part of. Kicking it all off at Licorice Pizza made it even more memorable. It was such a fun way to celebrate the collaboration with the LEGO Group.”
The event builds on the recently announced LEGO® Editions Olivia Rodrigo collection, which invites fans to discover stories hidden throughout five collectible LEGO sets inspired by defining songs, iconic performances and fan-favourite moments spanning SOUR, GUTS and you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
Developed in close collaboration with Olivia, the collection encourages fans to look beyond every build to uncover the references, memories and hidden meanings woven into each design.
