Over the past few years, there’s been a flurry of improvements and additions made to LEGOLAND Windsor. These have included an expanded Miniland, a digital LEGO® Reef and the land of LEGO MYTHICA. There are also plans to add a holiday village and an indoor LEGO Minigolf course. But it looks like a major new ride is in the planning stages. A new planning application has revealed the possibility of a duelling roller coaster being added to the park. the plans show the coaster being added near DUPLO Valley and on the former site of the River Raid ride. It’s not really located near any other themed areas of the park, so it’s not clear which LEGO theme will act as inspiration for the ride. See detailed plans for the ride here.

The plans and accompanying submission look impressive. The new coaster makes great use of the hillside near the Manor House. Not that I’ll ever ride on it. I can just about mange Fairy Tale Brook.
