A grand day out is coming to Battersea this October, as the LEGO® Store Battersea Power Station opens early, especially for dogs and their owners, to celebrate the launch of the first-ever LEGO® Ideas Wallace & Gromit set. From 8 am on October 1st, four-legged fans and their owners can be among the first to visit the store and pose their pooch aboard a life-size recreation of Wallace & Gromit’s iconic red motorbike and sidecar. Cracking News! Wallace & Gromit set to launch in LEGO brick form
Four-legged fans are invited along for the ride at LEGO® Store Battersea.
LONDON, 23 September 2026: A grand day out is coming for fans of Britain’s most dynamic duo as Wallace and Gromit make their brick-built debut with the new LEGO® Ideas Wallace & Gromit set, available to buy from Thursday 1st October.
Inspired by Aardman’s beloved characters and their iconic adventure in Wallace and Gromit; A Close Shave, the 1,038-piece build lets fans recreate the iconic cheese-loving inventor and his ever-patient canine companion to life in classic LEGO ® style.
Complete with Wallace and Gromit’s signature motorcycle and sidecar, the set is packed with character – from Wallace’s overalls, red tie and white helmet to Gromit’s vintage-style goggles. Fans can pose the pair in different ways, or get the wheels turning and send them off on their next adventure. And of course, there are a few cracking details to discover along the way. Hidden in the motorcycle’s seat hatch are Easter eggs inspired by the duo’s adventures, including crackers, a ball of yarn and a diamond.
Inspired by a Fan Designer, Sébastien Esnault’s original idea, which was selected as part of LEGO Ideas ‘90s Throwback – the next chapter challenge, the set gives fans the chance to take one of Britain’s most loved duos home in brick form.
A Grand Day Out at LEGO Store Battersea
To celebrate the launch, the LEGO Store Battersea Power Station will be opening its doors early at 8:00am and inviting four-legged fans (and their owners) to be among the first to take the new set home.
Taking centre stage in the store will be a giant, life-size recreation of Wallace & Gromit’s iconic red motorbike and sidecar, specially designed for dogs to hop aboard for a picture-perfect keepsake for their owners. Whether it’s a Gromit look-alike beagle or a curious terrier along for the ride, every pooch is welcome to take the handlebars.
Shoppers and their dogs who take a photo with the life-sized model will also receive a free, bespoke Wallace & Gromit postcard, an exclusive collector’s item created to mark the launch. And LEGO fans, new and old, will be able to get a limited-edition stamp on their LEGO Passport.
Also, LEGO and Wallace & Gromit fans in Bristol can meet the creative masterminds behind the new set at an exclusive designer signing event. On Saturday 3rd October between 10 am – 11 am, LEGO Ideas designer Sébastien Esnault plus LEGO designers Ellen Bowley and Tom Gerardin will be at the LEGO Store Cribbs to meet fans and sign copies of the set.
