For many years, the LEGO Group has partnered with other companies to create various LEGO-branded merchandise. The latest sees the return of LEGO® time-related products, with the first being the LEGO MOC Wall Clock. This comes from Santoki, who has created many different LEGO products, such as keychain lights, stationery and luggage tags. Here’s a closer look at the LEGO MOC Wall Clock, which is now available in the UK.

Previous LEGO timepieces, particularly clocks, have drawn inspiration from LEGO minifigures, but the MOC Clock is very different. Measuring over 9 in. (24 cm) long and 9 in. (24 cm) wide, the clock face is bordered by an area of white LEGO plates. These measures 6-studs wide and are where the MOC aspects of the clock come into play. Those exposed studs are where you can get creative and decorate the clock however you deem fit. Ironically, the long-retired LEGO DOTS sets are the perfect medium for decorating the clock. Still, any LEGO elements, bricks and minifigures can be added to the clock to make it your own. Unfortunately, the clock does not include any LEGO pieces beyond the clock face. This is a shame, as the building is the foundation of the LEGO brand, so it would have been nice to have a small number of elements included with the clock.
The clock mechanism includes the hour and minute hands, which include a faint LEGO stud pattern. Plus, there’s a second hand, these are not really a feature, as without them it’s pretty unless as a clock. But it can be hung on a wall thanks to three holes on the back of the clock, or you can stand it on a desk or shelf. It’s also powered by a single AA battery (not included).
It’s a unique piece of merchandise, and the fact that it can be decorated however you like makes it even more unique. It’s not cheap, which makes the lack of any LEGO pieces to customise it out of the box a little annoying.
